What Is Regenerative Medicine?
Stem cells and platelets are natural healing agents. Every day of your life, your body depends on them to keep you healthy. Here at the Wyoming Pain Institute, we specialize in using these regenerative agents to heal health problems.
PLATELET-RICH PLASMA THERAPY
In PRP therapy, a concentration of platelets is collected from a sample of the patient’s own blood.
First, the sample is processed in a centrifuge in order to separate the platelets from the other blood cells, and then the concentration of platelets is re-injected at the site of an injury. The platelets help to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes and provides pain relief.
STEM CELL THERAPY
Cellular therapy is a revolutionary method to treat a comprehensive range of conditions that cause chronic pain and limited mobility. Using stem cells from your own body (usually isolated from fat tissue or bone marrow), injections are given at the site of your injury in order to naturally regenerate damaged tissue and allow for faster healing times.
Clinically shown to treat pain, cellular therapy is a safe method to help restore damaged cells after a traumatic injury or due to a painful health condition. Results may be felt in as little as two weeks after beginning this outpatient treatment, and your body will gradually heal itself over time.
Your Journey To Healing Starts Here:
Regenerative therapy helps to drastically reduce pain from degenerative conditions, or after trauma or surgery. It can also greatly reduce the necessity for major surgery by treating injured tissues before the damage progresses any further.
By accelerating the healing process, PRP and cellular therapy can decrease pain and improve function within weeks, with little or no downtime. In addition, regenerative procedures are sometimes used in conjunction with surgery to help speed up healing, especially in athletes.
Wyoming Pain Institute provides a healing and comfortable environment for patients as they embark on their road to wellness. Our clinical program is led by triple board certified Dr. John Mansell and the caring staff.
